Newborn Shows Up at Hospital With 0.294 BLOOD ALCOHOL Level After Mom Mixed Formula With Vodka Instead of Water

  

A newborn baby from Wisconsin was rushed to the hospital with a blood alcohol level of .294, nearly four times the legal driving limit for adults. he baby’s mother told doctors that she had accidentally mixed the 1-month-old girl’s baby formula with vodka instead of water. She did not realize the mistake until the baby’s hands and toes became red and her legs started to shake.

The baby is currently in the intensive care unit but is expected to recover. If all goes well, she will likely be released from the hospital within the next week.
The 20-year-old mother told investigators that a man living at her home had emptied a bottle of water and filled it with vodka, according to Daily Mail.
She then told police that she and the man, identified as Brian Jones, 22, got into an altercation after she realized what happened. Jones allegedly pushed and choked the woman
before hitting her with the bottle. When officers arrived, Jones yelled at them and threatened
physical violence. Jones has been arrested and charged with strangulation and
battery, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer. Police are investigating the incident, but do not expect to
charge the mother, who has not been identified, as they believe that she did not intentionally give her newborn the vodka.
