Where do you shop?

I don’t go to market at all. You will not catch me going to the market. I go to the mall. I live in Opebi (Lagos) and you know Opebi is high profile shopping area for people who are high in fashion. So if I live in the middle of Opebi, there is no reason for me to go to the market.

Do you shop abroad?

I can travel just for three days to shop. I do that all the time. I might just take one week and shop in Dubai for three days and the remaining four days, I shop in London and then I come back.

Do you shop with friends?

I go alone because I wouldn’t want to be distracted. Friends would waste your time. I know what I am looking for and I have my money. I don’t want to be lured into anybody’s time. The only person I can go shopping with is Essence. She knows what I like. Apart from her, I shop alone so that I don’t over-shoot my budget. I enjoy going shopping alone so I can maximise my time.

Have you run out of money before?

Anytime I go shopping, I don’t come back with one kobo. I don’t know if I am cursed. If I go to the mall with £5000, if I don’t finish it, I will not stop. I may have the tendency to borrow from somebody if I should go shopping with anybody. I would certainly exhaust what I have. I am not disciplined when it comes to shopping.

Do you really enjoy shopping?

Shopping is my lifestyle. I was brought up to dress well. My sister dresses well. My mum was a dresser. Her mum was a super dresser. My people are high in style and fashion. I shop because looking good is a part of life for me.

Is there any accessory you must buy each time you go shopping?

I don’t know who has cursed me where handbag is. I may not buy anything else but I must buy a handbag. It adds to whatever you wear. You may just wear a pair of jeans and a tank top and your handbag would just make you stand out. I am a freak for belt. No matter how expensive, I must buy a belt.
