Labaran Maku: North East Security Budget Can Build Plenty of Federal Roads across The Country

The Minister of Information and supervising Minister of Defence, Labaran Maku, said on Tuesday that the federal Govt budget on security in the North East is enough to construct plenty of roads cross the country.
Maku disclosed this at a press conference organised to review the FG achievement in 2013.
"There is no zone in the country that is receiving allocation like the North-East. The monthly security allocation budgeted for the North East is enough to build roads across the country." he said
It is pertinent to note that the North East zone states includes  - Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe. And these states consume a better portion of the Nigerian yearly and monthly security budget.

Maku also said that All the security challenges in the country were created by local politics. And that almost all the state ruled by the opposition party is ravaged by Boko Haram.

He also reminded Nigerians that the greatest asset we have is our country. That he is happy that Nigerians especially the youths are not oblivious of the political events even as the opposition trys to sacrifice it for personal interest and political vendetta.

The Minister, also stated that the GEJ led administration runs an open government, more than any other in the recent past and his government has cleaned up the electoral system.

The Press Conference came to a close with the singing of the National Anthem after Maku  assured Nigerians that 2013 will go down as the best year in Nigeria's political history and beyond.
