Man, His 3 children Arrested for Series of Robbery Cases in Nasarawa

 

How crushed can a household be when entire members of the family are involved in one thing only - Armed Robbery.A middle-age man with his three children were on Thursday morning, arrested by men of 117 Battalion of the Nigerian Army in Nasarawa State for alleged involvement in a series of robbery cases on Obi road in Obi Local Government Area of the state.

Investigations by the Nigerian Tribune revealed that the suspects were arrested around 3:00 a.m and two AK 47 riffles, as well as dangerous weapons and various charms were also recovered from them.
It was learnt further that the arrest was made possible through a tip-off shortly after the arrest of a member of the syndicate by a Military Task Force the previous day.
One of the top security sources, who confided in the Nigerian Tribune, said the suspects did not know that one of them had been apprehended and taken to the barracks by the task force, as his confession led to the arrest of other members of the syndicate.
“If not, they would not have slept home yesterday. People have been monitoring their movements all this while. The father is the leader of the group, while three of his male children are also accomplices that robbed innocent people on Obi axis,” another source added.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mr. Ismaila Numan said it was a military operation, “so therefore, kindly contact the military personnel to comment on it”.
