England youth – teamer, Dele Alli, has been named The Football League’s Young Player of the Year for the 2014 – 2015 season, an award which rewards the most outstanding youngster in the second – fourth level of English football.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, who is on loan at MK Dons until this summer, saw off competition from Middlesbrough’s Patrick Bamford and fellow England youth international Nathan Redmond, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
“It’s been a really good season so far and I wouldn’t have been able to do any of it without my team-mates.
“I also can’t thank the gaffer enough for everything he has done – he’s always had faith in me,” allnigeriasoccer.com quoted the youngster as saying on mkdons.com.
Alli, who has netted 16 times this season, was nominated for the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Year award but eventually lost out to Joe Garner of Preston North End.
