Man sees mom's face for first time in 70 years

Thomas Cain's mother died when he was only 13 years old, and he had no pictures of her. He was unable to see her face for the next 70 years.
Luckily, his resourceful granddaughter tracked down a picture of his mother and captured his beautiful reaction on camera. "I lived in Wilmington, North Carolina for 8 years, which was about an hour from his birthplace of Bladenboro. I reached out to every newspaper possible and The Bladen Journal published my story. I searched Ancestry.com,
Rootsweb, etc. for two straight years with no results. Then in 2013, I was contacted by a distant relative in Bladenboro who saw my 2011 article in the newspaper. She mailed me the photo and I gifted it to my Pawpaw just 7 days after his birthday," Andrea Ferrell told AOL.com.

The family is still searching for photos of Cain's father, Henry Cathey Cain, who also passed away when he was a teenager.

"My Grandpa is the greatest man in the entire world," Ferrell stressed
