Save Us From Calamities – Ambrose Ali University Students Cry Out
Student of the Ambrose Alli University, (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State have
called on the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, to come to
their rescue following incessant robbery attacks at the institution.
According to a Daily Post report, the students said they are
constantly facing robbery attacks and r@pe of female students by
suspected cultists.
One student, simply identified as Favour, told the newspaper that the crime rate had spiked recently.

“We are like living with devils here in Ekpoma,” she said.
“Last week, they came to my hostel and attacked us.
“They carted away our foodstuff and money.

According to her, even members of the host community suffer the same fate as the students.
“We keep hearing of the same issue everywhere in this community
every day and the police are not doing anything about it,” she added.
“My friend who was r@ped by the guys is yet to recover from the trauma.

It will be recalled that fifty-six suspected cultists were recently
arrested by the police in Edo state for cult-related killings and
violence.
The arrests came after the IGP Arase ordered that a special squad of officers be set up to combat cultism and crime in the state.
