Reports in Portugal claim the Real Madrid star is to take up the role as the ‘super agent’ ties the knot.

Cristiano Ronaldo is set to be Jorge Mendes’ best man as he gets married today.

The Real Madrid star is heading to Porto for the ceremony, where he will perform the duties in front of a congregation of 300 invited guests.

According to Mirror

“Among those guests are understood to be Madrid teammates Fabio Coentrao and Pepe, as well as a raft of football’s most influential characters. The report, in Portuguese daily Jornal de Noticias, claims the wedding is to take place at the Sao Joao Baptista church in Porto’s upmarket district, Foz, before heading to one of the city’s most famous museums for the reception.”

The 49-year-old ‘super agent’ represents a collection of football’s biggest names and has incredible influence at some of the world’s most famous clubs, including Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Sir Alex Ferguson has this to say about the most powerful deal-maker in football.
