He expressed grief over the situation of the IDPs, and prayed that God will bring an end to the security challenges afflicting the nation.
Mr. Usman also expressed optimism that the action taken by the present administration will no doubt bring an end to Boko Haram attacks in the North East.
While calling for collective prayers from Nigerians for the end of the Boko Haram crisis, the deputy senate president’s aide enjoined well-meaning Nigerians to extend helping hands to the victims of insurgency attacks.
In accepting the gesture, Governor Bindow expressed appreciation on behalf of the beneficiaries to Mr. Ekweremadu.
He thanked the deputy senate president for his kindness and also called on well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the gesture.
Bindow described the Ekweremadu as a detribalised and compassionate Nigerian.
The governor then handed over the items to State Emergency Management Agency for judicious distribution to the IDPs at their camps.
