Group Urges Buhari To Tackle Youth Unemployment
The United Youth for Democracy (UYD) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to tackle youth unemployment through a specific legal framework.

The group identified unemployment as the cause of the insecurity in Nigeria. It therefore urged the government to tackle the issue with utmost seriousness.
“Proliferation of militant groups in Nigeria is due to the fact that the youths are hungry and angry.
“Although, government is granting amnesty to militants, it has failed to address the root cause of insecurity by creating jobs,” it said.
It expressed regrets over the increase in social vices such as prostitution, cyber crime, examination and admission racketeering as well as drug trafficking and abuse. UYD called for measures to tackle them
