According to the Federal Ministry of Power in its Power Statistics of
Sunday 30th August, power supply leaped by 32.02MW from the last

There has been significant increase in the electricity supply to
customers, which most consumers have described as the usual ploy of
electricity distribution companies when they are preparing to dispatch
their monthly bills.
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) had recently
decided that the Discos’ fixed charge should now be proportional to
energy charge, although The Nation could not confirm whether the
adjustment was effected in the August bill or whether it would commence
in September.
