Retired Soldier Sets Self On Fire In Agege Lagos (See)

A retired soldier, who is fondly called “Baba Soldier” by his neighbours, at No. 13 Abeokuta Street, near Agege Stadium, Agege, Lagos,  set himself ablaze on  the 25th August.
Daily Times reports that it was the soldier's co-tenant that noticed a fire burning in his room and raised an alarm.

A young girl who witnessed the incident revealed that she actually saw Baba drinking kerosene.

"He used the rest to wet his body before setting himself ablaze." she said.

Another eyewitness and neighbor,  said he intentionally killed himself because of frustration.

An Okada man, who spoke with Daily Times said, he always begged them for money to eat.
