£600,000 family home in Harrow, north London. Kibisu, who was understood
to be living with the family, was arrested on suspicion of murder the
following day.
A promising young lawyer and former public schoolgirl, Elizabeth Nnyanzi, was murdered by a family friend at her £600,000 family home, a court heard today. The 31-year-old was found dead after detectives were called to an address in Harrow, before 6pm on Friday, 14 August, to reports of an unresponsive woman.
The London Ambulance Service also attended but Miss Nnyanzi was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem took place at Northwick Park Mortuary on August 16.
Mechanic Peter Kibisu, 23, appeared at Hendon Magistrates Court today morning charged with her murder. He spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth and wore a grey sweatshirt and jogging bottoms.
Late Elizabeth had studied at Cheltenham Ladies' College and then studied medicine at Imperial College London before switching careers to study law in her father's footsteps. She started work at top international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills in May of this year.

He and Miss Nnyanzi were said to be such long-term friends that they
referred to each other as cousins. He appeared at Hendon Magistrates’
Court today and was remanded into custody.
