100,000 PDP Members Decamp To APC In Abia

John-Odigie-Oyegun
At least 100,000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The decampees, led by the former State Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PDP, Tony Ukasanya, said that they made the decision in recognition of the giant strides being recorded by the APC government in the country.

The decampees equally stated their desire to help the APC wrest power from the PDP-controlled government in the state.
While receiving the decampees to the APC fold in the state, the State Chairman, Donatus Nwankpa, was full of praises for them in recognition of what he called their courageous decision.
Nwankpa expressed the party’s appreciation of the support being enjoyed in the state and promised to ensure that the decampees are adequately integrity into the APC fold.
In his reaction however, the State Chairman of the PDP, Emma Nwaka derided the move by the decampees, stating that the party would not miss them as they did not work for the party in the state at the last general elections.
Furthermore, Nwaka predicted that the decampees would sooner rather than later come running back to the PDP and he would be waiting to receive them with open arms.
