See What Emmanuel Emenike Has To Say About His Resignation From The Super Eagles

Former Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike has revealed that Sunday Oliseh had nothing to do with him quitting the national team.
Emenike who plays for Al Ain of Dubai took to his Instagram on Tuesday, October 21, 2015 to announce his resignation from the Super Eagles.

“After five great years, I am happy to announce that I have put a full stop to my national team career for the sake of national peace,” part of the striker’s statement read on Instagram.
Emenike’s announcement comes just less than a month after former Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama also quit the national team.
Many blamed Oliseh for Emenike’s resignation while other reports had it that senior members of the Super Eagles are fed up with the management style of the coach.
Emenike has however refuted the reports, revealing that his decision to retire had nothing to do with the Super Eagles coach.
“I have absolutely nothing against the coach (Oliseh). As for me, I still remain loyal to coach Sunday Oliseh and I want to believe he understands my decision,” Emenike told African Football.
“My decision has nothing to do with the coach, who is a brave man, a technically sound person, my decision has nothing to go against his vision for the Super Eagles.
“Me out of the team will equally ease pressure on the coach and it will enable the younger players to fight harder for the team.”
