The #RareGenre Rap contest has finally drawn to a close.

The concept was to get rappers to spit on a local epic beat sampled from a ‘Tiv’ political praise song.

30 artistes drawn from the FCT & 13 states in Nigeria were shortlisted for the contest.

The RareGenre Project is a sequel to the Johnicks Freebeat Competition held in 2014 and won by fast rising Hiphop sensation from the mddlebelt, Meddy.
