EFCC Reveals Why Fighting Corruption In Nigeria Will Be Difficult
The nation’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC) has said it is difficult handling corruption problem
in Nigeria because it outweighs the available resources at its disposal.
The EFCC, therefore, said it would seek for support from the
international community to be able to fight the cankerworm, effectively.
The Chairman of the EFCC, Mr Ibrahim Magu, in a meeting with the
Norwegian Anti- corruption Network called ‘Corruption Hunters Network’
in Abuja on Saturday, said, “The only way to meet up with the mandate
for setting up the agency in the face of limited resources is to seek
the support of the international communities in the area of capacity
building.”
