Good education is one of the best legacies responsible parents can give to their children or wards due to the popular adage that: “education is the key to unlock many doors.”

But the situation is completely different in parts of Nigeria as some not well informed parents still share the opinion that female education is simply a waste of money. They argue that a female child will always end up in a man’s house as a house wife despite the qualification she might have obtained in the past.

Some parents in a bid to give their children good education patronise private schools that are not well academically equip with sound teachers. They enroll their wards and children in such schools with the mindset that: “it is better than public schools.” Lagos a ‘mega city’ is not exempted from such quack schools that are been operated by semi-literate proprietors.
