I don’t know how N700m Jonathan’s campaign fund was shared in Edo – Imasuen

Jonathan in the state, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu were detained Tuesday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Port Harcourt for alleged involvement in the sharing of the campaign fund in Edo state. However, Imasuen who is now a member of the All Progressives Congress, commended the EFCC for their kind treatment, said that he only signed as a witness when the money was given to Ize-Iyamu but that he has no hand on how the money was shared. He said “I went to EFCC on Tuesday, I was invited because they are investigating the money expended during the Presidential election. I was invited with Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to come and explain what we know about the presidential money. “I told them that as the Edo South Vice Chairman when I was in the PDP and as former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Dan Orbih the state chairman of the party called me one day, and told me that the Coordinator for the Jonathan campaign in Edo state, that is Pastor Ize- Iyamu was at Fidelity Bank that the money for the election has arrived but that they cannot give it to Ize- Iyamu alone, they needed witnesses before they can release the money. “ I drove to the bank and I met Pastor and Tony Aiziegbeni. I signed as a witness. But after signing, no money was given to me, the Coordinator Ize-Iyamu and Aziegbeni took the money to one of the leaders of PDP house. That was where the money was shared to the 18 Local Government areas for the election. I was not given a kobo” he asserted.
