Man Beaten To Pulp For Allegedly Stealing a Phone Only To Be Found Innocent (Video)

 A Chinese man suffered cruel fate in the hands of some angry passengers after he was beaten to a pulp for allegedly stealing a phone on a crowded subway in Beijing, China on Tuesday.
According to CCTV News, it was later found out that the man was innocent owning a phone similar to the one that was stolen.

Being mistaken for a thief, the man was held on the floor and punched in his face while crying and shouting, “Please help me! Call the police!” Many passersby recorded the entire incident, but no one called the police, and only a few pedestrians attempted to help.The video triggered various discussions online and a weibo user named @April asked, “Why did the person beat him without even asking first? Was he thinking with the power of fists instead of his brain?”
