Igbo And Hausa Traders Clash In Kaduna Market After Man Named Dog ‘Muhammad’
A Kaduna market has been shut down by men of the Nigerian Police
after a fight broke out over an Igbo trader’s choice of name for his
dog.

hange of punches after an Igbo trader allegedly named his dog Muhammad.
An eyewitness, Aminu Ibrahim, who spoke to news source revealed that trouble started when one Muhammad bought a dog and named it Ibere after an Igbo trader which made the Igbo trader choose Mohammed as the name for his new dog.Aminu Ibrahim told Daily Trust:

“Since the boy named the dog after the trader, the trader had warned him on several occasions to rename the dog, but the owner of the dog Muhammad refused.Following the christening of the dog, Muhammed, a fight erupted between the Igbo and the Hausa traders in the market which led to its closure as security operatives tried to maintain peace and restore calm.
“The Igbo trader, Ibere also bought a dog and named it Muhammad, this is when all hell was let loose.”
