Lionel Messi rescued a young fan from the clutches of security and made the little boy’s day while on international duty. The Barcelona forward, who is currently in South America, was returning to his team hotel when the Argentina supporter tried his luck.

Having broken through security, the little boy almost made it to his hero

before being snatched back by a guard.

With tears in his eyes, it looked as though the young lad’s dream was over.

But fortunately for the supporter, Messi had seen the entire encounter unfold and called for the boy to come back.

The 30-year-old then had a brief chat with the youngster, posed for a photo and gave him a hug.

The boy, who was clearly taken over by the emotion of the moment, was then let go.

Messi is currently preparing to face Uruguay and Venezuela in Argentina’s upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
