2019 Election; Sen. Kwankwaso Pulls Massive Crowd In Buhari’s Absence In Abuja. Photos
The 2019 election is really going to be interesting. Former governor
of Kano state, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, joined thousands of Tijjaniya
followers to celebrate Maulud of Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass in Abuja earlier
today…This is happening after president Muhammadu Buhari is currently
in London for an official duty..
According to reports, the large crowd of supporters were calling Sen. Kwankwaso to contest for presidency in the forth coming 2019 Election.
Kwankwaso unsuccessfully contested the presidential primaries nomination under the opposition All Progressive Congress, APC in 2015 but lost to Muhammadu Buhari. He then decided to contest the senatorial seat for Kano Central Senatorial District.
Meanwhile, Senator Kwankwaso has vowed to retire Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from active politics come 2019 general elections.
In an audio voice message aired on a private radio station in Kano (Express FM) last month, Senator Kwankwaso declared that no amount of persuasion would make him change his mind over the stance to remove Ganduje.
He said the level of betrayal meted to him by the Governor was enough yardsticks to stage a comeback into Kano politics and unseat Ganduje from Government House.
The fire-spitting Senator was also quoted as saying, “go and write it down, I will retire this betrayer (Ganduje) and his collaborators from active politics in a simple arithmetic of 1 + 1 which you all know the answer.”
