Movie Actress Arrested For Stripping Off Her Clothes To Protest. See Photos

An Indian movie actress stripped topless in public in protest at a ‘MeToo’-style casting couch culture in the local film industry. Police arrested Sri Reddy after she staged the stunt in the city of Hyderabad, in southern India’s state of Telangana, home of the country’s Telagu, or ‘Tollywood’, cinema industry.


Ms Reddy took off most of her clothes in a car park outside the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce until she was topless with her arms folded across her bare breasts.
She said that she had resorted to the protest after making allegations of sexual exploitation against certain filmmakers without naming them.

Ms Reddy alleged that many producers and directors demanded nude photos and videos from actresses competing for film roles.

Onlookers and journalists in the conservative country, where public nudity is a taboo, were shocked by her protest.
But Ms Reddy said: “All my parents’ shame has gone. I have taken off all my clothes. No family will be happy with this. But I have removed all my clothes and I am standing on the road in front of so many men.
