To kick-off the final leg of proceedings leading to the Saturday grand finale of his peace project, A Million Voices for Peace (MVP) campaign, 2Face visited the city of Jos on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
He was welcomed at the airport by students of the Gindiri School of the Blind and their teachers. A cache of journalists were also present and 2Face used the opportunity to enlighten them about the peace project and his mission to Jos.
The reasons behind the visit were firstly to symbolically touch roots because he was born in Jos and he wanted to take the message to the city of his birth.
"I came to start from where I started from," 2Face said.
"Jos has witnessed numerous conflicts and there is a big need for reconciliation and healing. So I thought it would be a worthy cause to spend my birthday preaching that message of peace. I also want to encourage my colleagues and other young Nigerians to start taking positive actions that can change the course of the nation for good," he said.
