Photos-- Bride Makes Herself Look Like Old Woman To See If Groom Will Still Love Her
A bride in China wanted to see if her future husband would
still love her when she was old and grey. And she did it in a rather odd
way.
The bride was wearing makeup that made her look like an elderly woman during the pre-wedding photo shoot to see whether her boyfriend would love her at 70-years-old. If so, she said, then he would not mind taking the photos with her dressed accordingly.
As a result a heated argument between the couple sparked in front of stunned onlookers. Witnesses say the groom demanded his girlfriend remove the makeup. When she refused, he yelled abuse, hurling his glasses onto the ground before leaving the woman alone crying in the street.
“He is such a philanderer and he used to have many girlfriends,” she said. Reporters asked the woman why she wanted to wed the man if he was an adulterer, to which she replied “because he really treats me very well.”
It is unknown whether the couple still plan to marry. There has been some speculation the event may have been an elaborate publicity stunt that is part of a well-known advertising campaign in China when a bride and groom get into all sorts of trouble on their wedding day.
