Iraq Launches Major Assault To Retake Tikrit From IS

                     It’s been war on terrorists around the globe. Just as Nigeria defeated insurgents yesterday and in many other recent victories, Iraq has also launched a major assault to retake Tikrit from IS and hoping to defeat them.

                      Some 30,000 Iraqi troops and militia backed by aircraft have been around Tikrit to recapture the city that was captured by IS members few months ago. The terrorists have always defeated them whenever the troops attempt to capture the city back. 

                     It has been our toughest target yet, an officer said. We are certain of victory... but the operation is not easy," another officer told AFP. 

                    The battle to recapture Tikrit started yesterday. We can only wish them luck.
