Tinubu, Osinbajo, Ambode for Walk As Lagosians Rally for Freedom

A 'freedom march' from Maryland to Alausa Secretariat, the seat of the Lagos State Government will, on Saturday, introduce a new dimension to the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign in Lagos.
Organisers of the event, the local chapter of the Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation in Lagos, said the walk would showcase the readiness of Lagosians and the party for the rescheduled general elections.
All lovers of democracy will join party faithful at the Maryland Junction for the event tagged: "Walk for Change," that will take them through Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way, Allen Avenue and terminate in front of the Assembly Complex, Alausa.

In statement by House of Representatives member and Lagos Coordinator of the organisation, James Faleke, said the walk would be a psychological reawakening for the electorate and send a signal to the People Democratic Party (PDP) that Lagosians are ready for the elections on March 28 and April 11. According to Faleke, notable leaders of the party, including its National Leader Bola Tinubu, vice-presidential running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and the APC governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode are leading others on the Walk for Change. Also expected on the train are: Governors Babatunde Fashola (Lagos), Rauf Aregbesola (Osun), party leaders at the national and state levels.
The supporters are to be addressed at a solidarity rally billed for the Garden. The lawmaker, who is the APC candidate for the Ikeja Federal Constituency, said arrangements have been made to make the walk hitch-free, even as he warned provocateurs to steer clear.
He said law enforcers would be on ground for the guided walk during wish party supporters are to appear in white top, symbolising peace.
