Woman Stabs 3-Year-Old Son To Death On Children's Day
A woman identified as Funmilayo Adeyanju was busy stabbing her son until
he died, while other parents were holding special treats for their
children on Children’s Day,
As reported, The incident reported to have happened in Otta, Ado-Odo local government area of Ogun State, attracted public outrage, with many suggesting that the woman may not be totally sane to have perpetrated such an evil act.
The woman allegedly stabbed Emmanuel, 3, several times on the head and other parts of the body with a knife before the youngster gave up the ghost.
Sources told Vanguard that the reason Mrs. Adeyanju, was very violent may not be unconnected to the fact that the child was a product of an alleged incestuous relationship between the woman and her own biological father.

Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, the state’s police spokesman, while commenting on
the incident, confirmed that policemen from Ota division had visited the
scene of the crime and had taken the corpse of the child to the
mortuary.
He explained further that the woman, who was immediately arrested by the police, put up some strange behaviours when questioned about the alleged crime.

“The police have been to the scene to recover the body of the child. The woman has been acting strangely like a person who is of unsound mind. The police would carry out proper investigation.
“The police will work on the state of mind of the woman and will have to seek the help of an expert to know her mental state,” Adejobi said.Only last week, three children were found dead in a well in Borno State.
