Chilling Confession: Before We Cut The Girls, We Put Our Hands Over Their Mouths (Photos)

A shocking revelation has been obtained from a mother and her daughter, regarding female genital mutilation FGM), a practice which they themselves are the ‘cutters’ in their village.

The cutters who spoke under anonymity said the cutting was to shield the girls from chasing after men at their tender ages.

According to the unnamed duo, the practice was observed to ensure that the girls have no interest in men at their tender ages.

Speaking to CNN, one of the cutters said: “We are doing it because it’s important for us, because when girls don’t get cut when they are young, they go after boys when they are young, and we don’t want that.”

“We don’t want them to get spoiled, that’s why we do it, “ she added.

In revealing how the barbaric act is carried out, the mom and daughter who spoke anonymously, informed that the young girls are blindfolded and their mouths are covered while the horrific act takes place.

hey stressed that before the girls are cut, they put their hands over the girls mouths.

“We sit down the girl, someone blindfolds her and lays her down on the ground.

“Then we cut – we cut three times.

“Then you take the ethanol spirit and put it on the wound. The ethanol is a bit painful, but it stops the bleeding.

“They don’t even scream because if they do, their age-mates will despise them.

“So they hold it back and endure the pain. They can’t make noise because of what other girls might think of them,” the cutters enunciated.

Female genital mutilation (FGM), is often passed down through generations of women.

It’s a procedure that sees the partial or total removal of the external female genital organs for non-medical reasons.

The act is against the law, and it is also illegal to take a female abroad for the purposes of FGM.

Most people who practice FGM, are of the believe that it protects the chastity of the girls,and aids to guide the moral standing of the entire community.

In a recent case which took place in South Africa, a man was arrested after twenty-one vaginas were found in his freezer.
