Muslims Are Not Terrorists - Grand Imam

 True Muslims the world over are not terrorists in spite of the negative label given to the religion by strange elements in recent times.

This was the state­ment made by the Grand Imam of El Azhar, Sheik Ahmad Taieb of Egypt at a press conference held yesterday in Abuja. 

Sheikh Taieb, who is also the Chairman of the Muslim Elders Council, said that their aim of vis­iting Nigeria at this point in time is an answer to a call by President Mu­hammad Buhari which is meant to explain that Is­lam is a religion that calls for peace in the whole world. He also said the visit will also be an op­portunity to correct the mindsets of some people trying to tarnish the Is­lamic image in the whole world.
