“Don’t Weep for Me, I Am Born to Die” – Nigerian Soldier in Borno Writes Touching Piece (Photos)
A young Nigerian soldier with the Instagram handle, ‘forevercoded7’
has melted the hearts of social media users with an informal letter to
his family members ahead of a presumed premotion of his demise just as
soldiers anticipate during military warfares.
In his brief letter, he admonishes his family members and friends not
to weep about his death but celebrate him as he is a soldier who was
born to die.
This short but weighty emotional piece speaks volume of the pains of
Nigerian troops battling the recalcitrant Boko Haram sect in the
north-east amidst scathing uncertainties and hardship.
