Gymnast Breaks His Neck During Failed Attempt To Set New World Record. Photos
A North Korean gymnast broke his neck while trying to set a new world
record at a circus festival. Sickening footage has emerged of the
accident – which happened as he attempted to perform six somersaults in
the air. The unnamed athlete suffered the horrifying injury at a
festival named Idol-2017 in Moscow.
He landed on his neck during his second attempt, and may now be paralysed for life.
Anxious teammates and officials came running to his help, and it was evident that the gymnast was unconscious.
The North Korean was applauded as the teeterboard was carried away.
He was rushed to hospital, but his current condition is not known.
