Woman And Her Friends Die In Fatal Road Accident While Returning From Funeral. Photo

A forty-two-year-old Zambian national has died in a road traffic accident in Middleburg, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Paxina Nachela, who was an administrative officer at Marto Laffite attorneys in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, died at Middleburg Hospital following a tyre burst of the SUV vehicle she was travelling in together with other people.

Ms. Nachela is believed to have been coming from a church funeral in Middleburg when she was involved in a fatal accident. Two other people believed to be a South African and Malawian also died on the spot in the same accident while one person survived.

Details of the accident are that Ms. Nachela is believed to have been thrown out of the vehicle following a tyre burst but was rushed to hospital where she died from.

The Zambian community in South Africa together with Ms Nachelas’s family are making frantic efforts to repatriate her remains back to Zambia.

Meanwhile, Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa His Excellency Mr Emmanuel Mwamba is saddened by this development and wished the bereaved family God’s Comfort during this difficult Moment.

This is according to a statement issued by First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Zambia High Commission in South Africa, Naomi Nyawali.
