How Man Jumped Into Lagoon On His Way To Work In Lagos. Photo

There was confusion earlier today in Lagos after a man, identified as Oluseyi Adekunle, on Friday jumped into the Lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge. According to reports, Adekunle, who, appeared to be on his way to work dropped his bag at the rails before taking the plunge into the Lagoon in an apparent suicide bid. His ATM card and other items were recovered from the scene. .
According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, the man jumped into the lagoon at about 09:58 a.m. on Friday.
It was gathered that a video footage captured how the man jumped into the Lagoon after he pulled off his clothes and shoe while noticing there was no one around him.
Officials of LASEMA, the Lagos State Waterways Authority, Marine Police, Lagos State Ambulance Services and the Nigerian Police from Maroko Division thereafter sought to rescue the man.
After a four-hour search without recovery of the body, the officials had to call off the joint operation. The authorities are still investigating the cause of Adekunle’s action
