Man Proposes To Girlfriend On A Falling Plane As Passengers Screamed In Fear

A man decided to take a big step in his life during a chaotic flight while passengers screamed in terror. The man proposed to his girlfriend on board a plummeting plane. According to media reports, the AirAsia flight from Australia to Bali fell 20,000ft in just nine minutes and the cabin crew ordered passengers into the crash position .

NBC News reported that a lawyer Mr Chris Jeanes had been planning to propose to Ms Kinchella when they got to Bali but the mid-air drama sped the process up. He popped the big question while they were still in the air after the oxygen masks deployed.

He told NBC News : “Luckily she said yes. We both reconfirmed with each other when we were on the ground.”

While the couple had a happily memorable story to tell from the dramatic flight, not all their fellow passengers exited the plane in as good a spirits.

Chris Jeanes also revealed how staff ran up and down the aisle of the jet yelling “emergency, brace, crash positions”.
