Teacher Arrested After Raping 11-Year-Old Student During School Hours.

Owolabi was arraigned before a court for allegedly defiling an 11 year old girl in the school premises in Egan area of Lagos. According to reports, the 36-year old secondary school teacher and father of two reportedly tied the victim with a cloth and raped her after forcefully removing her pant.

The teacher was arrested after the shocking incident which happened at Grand College located at Isuti Road in Egan in the outskirts of Lagos.

According to P.M Express, the teacher had made s3xaul advances but the girl refused. On the fateful day, he trailed her to the toilet where she went to ease herself, forcefully took her to a corner where he tied her mouth and penetrated her.

The matter reportedly got exposed after the act as the student bled profusely. She then raised alarm which attracted both the students and the school management.

The girl was rushed to the hospital while the teacher was handed over to the police at Igando Division.

It was gathered that at the police station, Owolabi admitted that he had s3x with her but he did not know she had not had such experience which caused the heavy bleeding.

Owolabi was brought before Ikeja Magistrates court where he was charged for defilement. He pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs B.O.Osunsanmi granted Owolabi bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum. The court ordered that one of the sureties must own a landed property within the jurisdiction of  court.

Owolabi was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions. The matter was further adjourned till 22 November, 2017.
