Man Gets Trapped After Trying To Take Shortcut By Crawling Under Train. Photos

A man who tried to take a short cut in a desperate bid to not miss his train got trapped on the tracks as a huge goods train thundered over him. Amazingly the mystery man survived after spending almost a minute face down between the metal rails.

A witness filmed as the train rumbled over the man Banakata Railway Station in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

With tonnes of metal rolling above him, the man stays totally motionless in fear for his life.

But after the carriages finally pass over his head, the shocked man sits up unhurt.

He had reportedly decided to crawl under the goods train as a shortcut to get to the passenger train he wanted to take.

It was not reported why he chose such a dangerous route rather than going via the provided footbridge but it is possible he feared missing his train.
